BIOSC 1380 - GLOBAL ECOLOGYMinimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 Compelling evidence points to the 1990's as the decade of environmental crisis. Human quality of life, and probably survival, likely depends more on treaties about land, air, and water than on weaponry. This course will examine environmental issues of the decade and the basic concepts of the fundamental environmental science - ecology - that underlie them. The nature of key environmental changes, their extent and rates, will be considered, along with likely consequences and possible solutions.
