PEDC 0067 - KARATEMinimum Credits: 1 Maximum Credits: 1 Introduction to the principles and techniques of traditional shotokan karate. Commencing with physical conditioning and basic blocking, stroking, punching, and kicking techniques-- training progresses through traditional formal exercise (kata), sparring, and self-defense methods. A karate club is available for those who wish to continue their study of karate beyond the scope of this course.
